Privacy

Short version: the free number on our homepage never leaves your device. If you buy, your wallpaper settings are kept with your license so you can change them from anywhere, and we delete them when you ask.

The website

On the homepage, your birth date, lifespan and focus are calculated and stored in your own browser. They are not sent to us or anyone else. We use no cookies and no third-party analytics. We count anonymous page events (for example "wallpaper downloaded") with no personal data attached.

When you buy

Payments are processed by Stripe and sold through Link. We receive your email address and a purchase record so we can issue your license and help if you lose it. We never see or store your card details.

Your wallpaper settings

When you set up the wallpaper, or save on your My wallpaper page (daysunspent.com/focus), we store these with your license: your birth date, the lifespan you chose, your style, your current focus and its deadline. That's what lets you change them from any device and have every wallpaper you run follow. They are linked to your license key, not to your name. Only someone with your key can see or change them, so keep your key and your personal link private.

Gifts: the person who gives Days Unspent never sees the recipient's birthday or settings.

The wallpaper

The live wallpaper keeps a copy of your settings on your own computer so it works offline. It contacts us only to check your license and fetch your settings. To update within a second when you change them, it keeps a connection open to our database provider, Supabase; that connection carries a coded channel name and a "changed" signal, never your settings themselves.

Emails, referrals and reviews

After you buy, we email you your license key and setup link, and later at most two short notes: one asking how it's going, and one with your referral link. Reply "stop" and we won't send the later ones. We send email through Resend, which processes your address only to deliver it. Each license has a referral code. If a purchase came through someone's link, we record that so we can credit them, but we never tell them who bought. If you join the referral program and give us a PayPal or Interac e-Transfer email, we store it with your license only to pay you, and delete it when you ask. If you answer our review question, we keep your rating and words privately with your license and quote them, without your name, only if you ticked "you can quote me anonymously."

The free poster

The printable poster is drawn in your browser; your birthday is not sent to us. To unlock it we ask for your email address, which we keep on our Monday email list: one short email a week from Days Unspent. Unsubscribe from any of them at any time, or write to us and we'll remove your address.

Deleting your data

Write to [email protected] and we'll delete your wallpaper settings, or your whole purchase record, whichever you prefer.
